Amazon’s new smart thermostat acquires Nest with a low price of $ 60

Amazon announced a new smart thermostat that integrates with Alexa.

Amazon unveiled the Amazon Smart Thermostat in its 2021 Invitation-Only Launch Event Tuesday. The $ 60 smart device works with Alexa, according to Dave Limp, Amazon’s senior vice president of devices and services. Amazon’s Smart Thermostat is available to pre-order now and is scheduled to launch on November 4.

Alexa can automatically adjust your temperature preferences depending on whether you are at home. You can also set up Alexa routines with your smart thermostat. For example, you can set up a “good night” routine and Alexa will turn off the heating or air conditioning in your home.

The device was created in partnership with Resideo, manufacturers of Honeywell Home thermostats, and is designed to keep your home at a comfortable temperature without compromising energy efficiency. Additionally, Limp says the smart thermostat will work with most existing HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems.

The Smart Thermostat is the first device of its kind from Amazon, incorporating products from Google’s Nest brand, Ecobee and their partner Honeywell.

Amazon did not broadcast its presentation live to the general public, but on invitations which came out last week, the company promised attendees “news about our latest amazon devices, features and services. “Last year’s event included Revamped Echo and Echo Dot speakers, the Drone Always Home Cam Ringand a rotating smart display.
