“Dancing with the stars” regular Cheryl burke announced Sunday that he tested positive in a revolutionary case of COVID-19 – Just one day before she and Peloton star instructor Cody Rigsby performed Monday’s second show of the season. (See the video below).
“I can’t believe this happened,” he said.
Burke excitedly posted Instagram videos before and after her test, which came back positive. The dance professional said that they have inoculated her with the Moderna vaccine.
“I can’t believe this happened,” she said through tears.
Burke said she felt exhausted and was ordered to quarantine for 10 days.
“I feel so bad for Cody,” he said. “I feel like I’m disappointing him. I feel like shit to be honest. … I just hope I didn’t spread it. For those of you who don’t believe that COVID is a real thing, it’s fucking real. “
ABC featured Burke and Rigsby in a Twitter promotional video for Monday’s elimination schedule that was released Sunday night. A spokesperson for the network told HuffPost on Monday that the show would address the matter further during the broadcast.
