Is Choujin X related to Tokyo Ghoul?
Ishida has very cleverly incorporated elements from his well-known Tokyo Ghoul series. Yamato Mori, who looks a lot like the purpose of Antieku from Tokyo Ghoul, has opened up a whole series of debates about whether the two series are related. Antieku is a neighborhood cafe opened by cannibalistic humanoid creatures to help other ghouls. Therefore, Anteiku serves as the place where they can store dead humans and then feed on them. Yamato Mori in Choujin X is such a place. In chapter seven we see Tokyo waking up from his sleep to find himself there. Although Yamato Mori is a much larger place, fans have discovered a few more similarities. Like Anteiku, it has been kept secret. Also, one of the similarities is that both heroes get their powers here. Ishida hasn’t revealed much about these claims. However, they are quite fun and keep people interested.
