Dogecoin Foundation welcomes Ethereum developer Vitalik Buterin to change the entire network

The Dogecoin Foundation and the founder of the second largest cryptocurrency on the market, Vitalik Buterin, have Announced creating a unique Dogecoin proposition that will bring PoS “Community Staking” to anyone who is willing to participate.

Dogecoin route map

According to the foundation’s website, Dogecoin is a community-driven open source project that is being run by many people and contributors who build the Dogecoin ecosystem every day.

As the article points out, Dogecoin’s path is being “paved” by the many projects that the community is constantly setting up. The project community also hopes to keep the project on the decentralized path.

Gigawalet project and community participation

The GigaWallet project featured in the roadmap will be used to provide an API solution that will allow the addition of Dogecoin transactions to the platform and implement the currency’s network as a payment provider.

GigaWallet will provide two levels of API. The first layer will be used to process and validate traditional Dogecoin transactions, and the second layer will be used for the integration of the Dogecoin Keyring application and the SDK (Software Development Kit). Users will retain ownership of the keys without losing the ability to transact with Dogecoin.

After the launch and full implementation of GigaWallet, the foundation will be able to focus on developing community engagement. Community staking is a unique proposition that will allow everyone, according to the article, to participate in the distribution of rewards for managing the network.

With the support of the community, the network will continue to grow and make Dogecoin an even more reliable network that will be better suited for creating additional use cases that act in favor of the long-term asset.
