Sony Pictures Television previously confirmed to Fox News that Bialik will host several weeks of shows running through November 5. After that, she and Jennings will divide presentation duties as their respective schedules allow while the show looks for a permanent replacement for Alex trebek after Mike Richards was forced to reduce.
First “Big Bang Theory“appeared on” The Late Late Show with James Corden “on Tuesday, where he spoke about the immense public interest that the search for a new host of” Jeopardy! Speaking to the late-night host, she noted that she wants to avoid the drama behind the scenes and just do the right thing for the fans when she’s on screen.
“Who knew people were so passionate about the host of ‘Jeopardy!'” she said. “I mean, I’m just trying to read the clues, you know? Let me read the clues!”
Despite the immense public interest in who, the new host of “Jeopardy!” It will be, Bialik made his way to the podium with relatively little fanfare. When Trebek died in November 2020, she was one of the first celebrity guests to take over the show. She was largely considered a fan favorite, but she didn’t actually campaign for herself in the way that other guest hosts did.
When producer Mike Richards was announced as the new host of the regular game, Bialik was chosen to host an upcoming crop of spinoff games and special events like ABC’s “Jeopardy! National College Championship.” This placed her safely in the orbit of the accommodation, as the situation with Richards suddenly became a great unknown after a scandal.
The actress told Corden that the hardest part of the show has been staying out of the host drama and making sure the game is always front and center.
“The ‘Jeopardy!’ is that we spend our whole lives wanting to be seen and this job is like … people should think as little as possible of me, “he explained. “I mean, my job is to be the host and just read the clues. But there has certainly been a lot of news that has sparked a lot of interest.”
Although she didn’t say it directly, Bialik was probably talking about Richards’ departure from the show below he resurfaced: inappropriate comments did on a podcast years ago. Not only did the scandal lead him to end his run as the new main presenter after only filming a handful of episodes, but he later stepped down as a producer on the show.
Behind-the-scenes politics aside, Bialik notes that she’s happy to be one of the lucky few to do the job of hostess.
“It’s unbelievably nice,” he concluded. “I learn things all day. I meet people who have a kind of knowledge that I don’t have. I would do it horribly in ‘Jeopardy!’ Horribly”.
