Metaverse, GameFi and DAO in Exclusive Interview with GensoKishi Online CEO

I recently spoke with Maxi Kuan, CEO of GensoKishi Online, a Metaverse and GameFi remake of the Elemental Knights game. He told me about the world created in this game and how everyone can become a part, and even a creator, of this world. Let’s dive in!

U.Today: Maxi, thank you for joining me in this interview. Recently, he joined the GensoKishi Online project as CEO. Can you tell us about your experience before that? What made you interested in the GameFi sector?

Maxi Kuan: I have been working in Japan (Tokyo) for 10 years and have been running a consulting business for startups for 5 years. Since 2017, I have been in the blockchain industry as a senior blockchain media consultant. I run various businesses, such as KOL marketing, and have always been in the digital field. I also have connections with Japanese game creators, which is why I am working on the GensoKishi Project now.

The GameFi sector is really very exciting – it just brings Metaverse and NFT to all games and makes them profitable for both the company and the gamers.

U.Today: GensoKishi is a Metaverse and GameFi remake of the game that won the “Game of the Year Gold Award” in Taiwan in 2012 and has been played by a total of eight million people. Can you give us more details about this game and tell us about its world?

Maxi Kuan: As a classic 3DMMORPG, GensoKishi was originally titled “Elemental Knights” and was released in 2008. It has been around for 13 years. It has been updated so many times that you can still play it on Android / iPhone / Nintendo Switch / PS4.

The gameplay part of the GameFi version of Elemental Knights will be like other 3DMMORPGs. You can raise your own character with different jobs like fighter / magician / assassin etc. And you can build your team to cooperate with other players online to defeat strong monsters, get rare items, and complete missions to reach a higher level and unlock. unknown worlds.

As a P2E (play to win) game, we have several functions for you:

1. NFT and tokens: At GensoKishi, you venture out for free at the beginning. You don’t need to buy a few characters to get started. You can team up with others to defeat monsters and get some rare items in exchange for in-game deals. You have a ROND token, which is the crypto for the game. It will also be on the Polygon blockchain, so you can exchange it for another token, which means you can make a profit doing it.

2. UGC to win: this is one of the highlights of GensoKishi. You can create your own team (weapons / items) and NPCs (non-player characters) in the game. You can just play with it in game or make it more valuable, or you can sell it on an NFT market like OpenSea or any other EVM compatible market. Therefore, you can create anything in the game. (Of course, X-rated or negative items will be restricted in the GensoKishi metaverse.) You can even buy LAND (Maps) in game and edit it at will, which is another great feature of the game.

U.Today: What makes GensoKishi special? How is it different from other Metaverse games in a technological sense?

Maxi Kuan: At GensoKishi, you can start the game without paying any crypto. It is a free game and of course you can use crypto to buy powerful items to help you on your adventure. But in our meta world of GensoKishi, you need to team up with other players to defeat the really strong monsters; otherwise, it will be very difficult to keep venturing. As mentioned above, we already have a user base of eight million to start with. We will take you to the new version of GameFi and we will also invite cryptocurrency lovers.

On the other hand, our goal is a decentralized world for this game. In other words, we will eventually convert it to a DAPP. Until now, 3D rendering technology still requires very high processing power while gaming, which is why at GensoKishi, we still use a centralized game server to help play the game. But since Web3 and blockchain are changing rapidly, we believe the time will come very soon. We will also let GensoKishi be a DAO, which means that it will belong to all users who have the governance token MV. They can vote for the future of the world, to change it and create a new world together.

U.Today: let’s talk about the MV token. What do you give the owners?

Maxi Kuan: Yes, the MV token is our main token for the project. These are some of the features that you may be interested in knowing:

Standard: Polygon (ERC20 base)

Coin Name: Metaverse

Symbol name: MV

Total supply: 2,000,000,000

MV is the currency this game uses outside of the game, mainly to build the metaverse.

The game’s crypto, ROND, can cause prices to plummet due to the balance of the game, but MV is designed separately so that it is not affected by ROND.

U.Today: Why did you choose the Polygon network to base your game on?

Maxi Kuan: I have always enjoyed other GameFis on Polygon and believed in the possibility of speed fees and low fuel consumption. Today, ETH is the most popular blockchain, but with high gas fees, it is not suitable for gaming. But people still love to trade ETH, so as ETH’s L2, Polygon has solved our GameFi team’s problems. In addition, Polygon has the most active users on the market, so that’s the main reason we chose Polygon as our partner. (We had also created an official partnership with Polygon Studio.)

U.Today: What was your team’s last release?

Maxi Kuani: Today, GensoKishi announced a partnership with TrustPad, which will help promote GensoKishi on its popular platform and introduce this opportunity to its wide range of investors.

As an added benefit of this partnership, GensoKishi will receive the full support of the DeFi Launchpad Association.

The GensoKishi launch / IDO will also be supported by other members of the Launchpad association, increasing public access and exposure to the project; details will be released soon.

U.Today: What are your main plans for 2022?

Maxi Kuan: Thanks for asking. In January 2022, we will launch the first SuperRare NFT auction. We will repeat this three times before the official launch in August 2022. Also, we aim to include the MV token in some CEXs, for greater awareness and liquidity. We will launch the UGC feature and LAND auction after the official launch, but if possible, we would like it to happen even sooner.

For global users, we are hard at work on everything Elemental Knights never did. It will be very exciting and I hope you will join us.

U.Today: What crypto do you have in your portfolio?

Maxi Kuan: I’m not a whale so I just have some BTC, ETH, MATIC (of course), BNB, FTM (surprise you?) … and absolutely MV.

U.Today: What will the price of Bitcoin be a year from now, in your opinion?

Maxi Kuan: No financial advice. Since Metaverse joined, NFT has been heating up recently. Some influencers like Elon Musk and Tim Cook also have crypto as an investment. The price will reach 100K in a year. Many more countries will accept Bitcoin.

U.Today: Metaverses have been the loudest topic in recent months. Where, in your opinion, could it lead us in the future?

Maxi Kuan: I think some techniques still need time to perfect or be feasible for a real metaverse. There are some VR / AR and Web3 UI issues. I think five years would be a reasonable time to resolve the issues, but it could be sooner, and then we will live with the Metaverse. A decentralized ecosystem in the real world can be difficult, but in the Metaverse we can achieve a real and free life. Let’s see how we do it at GensoKishi. Thanks a lot.
