Suni Lee reveals surprising reason she turned down Hailey Bieber’s offer to meet Justin Bieber

Gymnastics superstar Sunisa “Suni” Lee She is known for having ice water in her veins, but when it comes to meeting the “Cold Water” singer, the story is different.

Suni, 18, who won the Olympics gold in the individual in general at the Tokyo 2020 Games, visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, September 30. During the talk, Suni explained that one of the benefits of her rise to fame was attending the Met Gala 2021 earlier this month where he found himself very close to people like Hailey bieber and Justin Bieber.

“I knew Rihanna, I met Hailey Bieber, oh my gosh, I love her, “the Dancing with the stars Season 30 contestant called to submit Ellen Degeneres. “I talked to her, and she was shaking, and I said, ‘Hi, I’m Suni.’ And then I was telling her how she was dancing to Justin Bieber’s ‘Stay’ for the first time. But as it turned out, Suni may have been nodding when she wanted to say no, as she finally couldn’t muster the courage to get close to the 27-year-old Grammy winner.

“Then when I got a chance to see him, I got too scared,” the athlete adorably shared with a smile. “I was like, ‘I’m not going to do it.’

This prompted a surprised Ellen to clarify, “Didn’t you walk up to him and say hello?” And Suni replied, “No, I was so scared.”

Ellen assured Suni that Justin is a sweetheart and that she should meet him at some point, and the gymnast confirmed that a performance of the singer was still on her wish list.

“I hope so too, because my sister and I, when we were younger, we had posters of him and blankets of him, and the posters have red lipstick kiss marks,” Suni confessed. “So Justin, if you’re watching, forget I said that.” She went on to say, “Yes, I really want to meet him.”

Maybe Justin will find a way to make that happen soon, and then there will be a less lonely gymnast.
