Wayne Couzens Sentenced Live: Sarah Everard’s Killer Had Dating Profiles and Wore Off Duty Handcuffs, Court Heard Heard | UK News

Who was Sarah Everard?

Sarah Everard was described by her family as “bright and beautiful” and a “shining example to all of us.”

The 33-year-old marketing executive visited a friend’s home in Clapham, south London, on the night of March 3, and picked up a bottle of wine at a Sainsbury’s store beforehand.

She decided to walk home, about 4 miles away, and spoke with her boyfriend, Josh Lowth, on the phone for 14 minutes after leaving.

Everard never completed his journey.

She was abducted by Wayne Couzens, a Metropolitan Police officer on duty, who later raped and killed her.

After her body was found in a forest in Kent, Ms. Everard’s family released a statement, saying: “Sarah was bright and beautiful, a wonderful daughter and sister.

“She was kind and considerate, caring and trustworthy.

“She always put others first and had an incredible sense of humor.

“She was strong and had principles and a shining example for all of us.

“We are very proud of her and she brought a lot of joy to our lives.”
