West Ham 1-0 Rapid Vienna LIVE! Rice goal: Europa League match broadcast, latest results and today’s updates

London Stadium tonight hosts West Ham’s first European home game since 2006.

Austria’s Rapid Vienna are the visitor to East London as the Hammers look to build on their impressive opening win over Dinamo Zagreb.

Goals from Michail Antonio and Declan Rice saw David Moyes’ team triumph 2-0 in the Croatian capital a fortnight ago, making the perfect start to life in Group H.

West Ham has since recovered very well from Mark Noble’s painful last-gasp penalty foul against Manchester United, winning at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup before scoring late to beat Leeds in the Premier League last time out. .

Rapid Vienna, by contrast, are second in the Austrian Bundesliga after a dismal start to the season and were beaten at home by Genk in their first group stage match.

Moyes has made seven changes to tonight’s game with Brentford’s visit in mind this weekend.

West Ham 1-0 Rapid Vienna

So far, all is well for the Hammers looking for a second win in a row in the Europa League.

Declan Rice tapped at home just before the half hour mark after both he and Dawson headed into the post.

Some superb deliveries of Cresswell fixtures.

45 minutes: In an additional minute of time at the end of this first half, Rapid Vienna is again looking for an opening, but cannot create an opportunity.

43 minutes: Benrahma spins and gets on the wrong side of Rapid Vienna captain Grahovac, who not so subtly removes the former Brentford player and receives the first yellow card of the night.

41 minutes: Antonio wins another corner and these fabulous deliveries from Cresswell are causing the Austrians all kinds of trouble.

It’s Dawson again who attacks the ball into the six-yard box, but can’t guide his last header at target.

That could have come off the defender’s shoulder actually.

40 minutes: Antonio was not moving very well a while ago and seemed to be holding his groin.

Now it seems fine, but that’s something to watch out for.

West Ham will loathe being without their attacking talisman again.

36 minutes: West Ham have been fine at the top this first half, but Rapid Vienna has had their moments, although they apparently haven’t brought their shooting boots.

A cross pass is dropped from the left by Ullmann and Fountas is unable to shoot before Dawson blocks the next dangerous ball and a subsequent shot is fired far overhead.

33 minutes: A lot of pressure is being applied by West Ham since that opening goal.

Johnson is now struggling against the ground as he looks to connect with a cross to the back post.

OBJECTIVE! West Ham 1-0 Rapid Vienna | Declan Rice 29 ‘

29 minutes: Woodworking can’t save Rapid Vienna this time!

Yarmolenko throws a pass to Antonio, who grabs the ball to his chest before laying it out front for Rice to touch inside the six-yard box.

Two out of two in the Europa League for Rice. A lovely move from West Ham.

Some ugly scenes in the stands now, with that goal right in front of Rapid Vienna fans, who have spilled forward and are being stopped by security.

Missiles appear to be launched from both ends. Hopefully that will calm down.

So close again for the Hammers when Dawson’s powerful header from a Cresswell corner thundered off the post.

There seems to be a few things being thrown out as the stewards try to keep the peace between the home fans and the visitors in the corner.
