Yuru Camp: Anime Film, Visual Teaser Announcement, and Release Date

With a New Year, we would also receive a new anime. This year we will get an anime film adaptation from studio C-Station, which is based on Yuru Camp. This anime has earned a reputation as a heartwarming anime with warm themes. An alternate name for it is “Laid-Back Camp” and it lives up to its name of being a laid back anime.

Yuru Camp is an ongoing manga created by Afro that started in 2015. The manga has an anime adaptation by C-Station Studio, which aired its first episode on January 4, 2018. It tells the story of a girl named Rin who loves camping alone. However, things change when he meets another girl named Nadeshiko Kagamihara. The anime then creates a warm atmosphere as the two girls enjoy ramen and chat by the campfire. They then decide to camp together one day. As the story progresses, these girls become friends with other girls and continue to show us their love of camping.

Yuru Anime Camp:

The anime consists of 2 seasons along with 2 OVAs and a miniseries. The first season of the anime consists of 12 episodes that have received much love from many fans. After the first season, an OVA was released, which consisted of 3 episodes that were 8 minutes each. C-Station Studio then released a miniseries called ‘Room Camp’ or ‘Heya Camp’. This has 12 episodes, each episode is approximately 3 minutes long, and a special episode with the same name is 10 minutes long.

Yuru Camp returned with a second season on January 7, 2021. This season consisted of 13 episodes. After season 2 ended, an OVA with 2 five-minute episodes was released. The production team will soon present a film for the franchise, and to find out more about it, read on!

Yuru Camp movie adaptation and visual teasers:

In 2018, the Yuru Camp production team revealed that they plan to release many forms of anime-related media alongside a second season. However, not much was revealed after this. In 2021, the team republished some artistic concepts. Since it was released on April 1, some fans speculated that it was an April Fool’s Day joke. Again, the production team didn’t say much about the anime. But on January 6, 2022 they finally gave us an announcement.

Yuru Camp launched an ad with glimpses of the girls in their daily life as campers. Although the clip is about 30 seconds long, it leaves us with a fuzzy feeling of excitement. The images in the ads are smooth and give off a happy atmosphere. Speaking of visuals, one-shot visual teasers of the characters will also be released. These visual teasers will serve promotional purposes. The first visual sneak peek was released a few days ago.

What can you expect from the movie?

When the concept art was released on April 1, 2021, it involved a time jump. Therefore, fans suspected that the anime film adaptation would include a time jump. However, since we don’t have an official trailer yet, we can’t really say. What we do know is that the production team will remain the same as for the anime adaptation, with director Yoshiaki Kyougoku.

As for the characters, they will have the same voice actors (Seiyu). The main character, Nadeshiko, is voiced by Yumiri Hanamori, and the second protagonist, Rin, is voiced by Nao Touyama. Alongside them, we have the characters Aoi Inuyama, Chiaki Oogaki, and Ena Saitou as part of their camping party. These characters have the voices of Aki Toyosaki, Hayuri Sara, and Rie Takahashi, respectively. Since the cast, as well as the film’s production team, remain the same as in the anime, the film will definitely be moving.

Release date of the film Camp Yuru:

As I mentioned earlier, the anime serves a comforting purpose, so the summer of 2022 will be warm as the movie opens around this time. As of now, we don’t know the exact date, but this, along with the trailer and new visuals, is what we can expect. Until then, you can watch the anime on Crunchyroll.
